Summer is coming.

As the summer holiday dawns on me, my natural instinct is to close all the curtains, hide under the the duvet and start a sixteen week box set marathon. However, as much as I want to do this, there is an annoying voice in my head, screaming at me to do something productive this year. I can tell myself over and over, that binge watching the likes of Friends, That 70's Show, The L Word and Once Upon a Time, is productive, but I secretly know that it isn't true; which is why I am going to be forcing myself to do more than watch TV this summer.

For a start, I want to update this blog a lot more than what I currently do. I started off well when I first stared blogging last year,  but over the course of the year, I have become lazy and turned into a monster of procrastination. I could blame it on the the amount of university work I had, but anyone that actually knows me, will know I left all that until the last minute; and even then, after staying in the library all night, I didn't even start some pieces until 5 hours before they were due in... but we did order pizza, so that was a bonus.

Secondly, I have decided that I am going to join the gym. Hopefully by doing this, when I go back to uni in September, everyone will look at me and think "wow we have a super model joining our class this year" when really, it will just be me in disguise.

Just a handful of my books!
Thirdly, I am going to read all of the books I own, that I haven't read. I have a habit of going into book stores, or scrolling through Amazon, and buying all of the books that look remotely interesting. I now have almost 70 books lying around the house, that I haven't read. As I posted before, I have a disease that enables me to read more than one book at a time, I say it's a disease, because I can potentially read any number books at the same time, and not get the plots mixed up... I'm currently reading nine. By the end of September, I am hoping to have read a good chunk of those 70 books.

Fourthly - is that even a thing? I've never heard someone say fourthly before! I want to finish the basic first draft of a novel that I have been working on. I'm not going to tell you anything about it, because spoilers, but hopefully if and when it becomes something, you guys will be the first to know!

As well as doing all of this, I am also going to be interning at Kerrang! magazine for a week in July. I am so excited for this, considering it was the magazine I grew up reading. Every Wednesday without fail I would drag my friend to the shop before school, to buy K! and as many cans of Redbull/Rockstar as possible with the change.  It's a fantastic opportunity, and I hope they like me, because otherwise it could be a really weird and uncomfortable week.

I am hoping to actually stick to all of these things, otherwise it will prove just how unproductive I am. Who knows, I might end up finding a bunch of other things I wants to do this summer too, but these are the prime ones that I am focusing on.

What are your plans for this summer?
