Summery Fruit Water Recipe.

Today, I jumped on the fruit water band wagon, and decided to make my own yummy fruit water. and it was amazing. If I would have known that just adding a a little bit of fruit to my water, would make it refreshing and a lot nicer to drink, then I would have done it years ago!

After taking my brother out to lunch yesterday, I ventured into the supermarket to see what fruit I could buy. I eventually settled on a mixed punnet of Strawberries, Raspberries, and Blackberries, a bag of Granny Smiths, some Plums, a few Nectarines, and a Pinneapple.

For my fruit water I decided to use the Apples, Strawberries, Raspberries, and Blueberries. Which made a lovely sweet taste, and all the flavours had intertwined and fermented together!

Here's what I did:

- I sliced up the apples, and chopped the strawberries in half, before putting them into my mason jar.

- I then put in a few raspberries and blackberries, that had already had the the storks and stuff removed.

-  I then threw in some ice, I used crushed ice because my fridge has a cool function that gives me crushed ice, but you can use regular cubes. There isn't a law against what kind of ice you should use.

- After the ice, I poured in some water. Once again, I used the water that comes out of my fridge (because it's filters, and non-filtered water tastes weird) but you can use whatever water you want.

- You can then stir it if you want, just so all the fruits are evenly distributed.

-You then put the lid on the mason jar, and screw the top on and leave it in the fridge for at least two hours. The longer you leave it, the more of the fruits flavour is absorbed into the water.

The photo is a little dodgy, but as you can see, all it really is, is throwing a bunch of fruit into a jar, with some water and ice cubes and waiting for a few hours!

You can go back and taste it after a few hours, and if it's not as flavourful as you would like, take a fork or spoon, or something, and press the fruit a little, just so some of their natural juices and sugars can escape. You can then put the lid on and shake it a little, and then put it back in the fridge.

Once you're happy with the taste, put a straw in and drink away!

Fruit waters are really good for raising your metabolism, as well as being a refreshing drink, and a yummy snack.

I would show you a picture of the finished product, but I forgot to take one, because it was so darn yummy.

Maybe next time!
