Versatile Blogger Award!

This is the second award I have been nominated for in the space of a month, so I'm feeling a little bit chuffed right now. It's nice to know that there are people out there who take notice, actively acknowledge the work others, and pay it forward!

I was nominated for the Versatile Blogger Award by Chloe, who is one of the nicest people I have ever met, she's one of those people that doesn't just say she wants to make the world a better place, but she actually acts upon it! So you should go check out her blog ChloeMetzger.com

Thanks for nominating me Chloe, you rock!

Seven facts about me! Do I even know seven fact me? This could involve some form of self discovery, so prepare yourself guys!

1. My name isn't actually Kirstie. Well it is, it's just spelt (spelled??) differently. It's actually Kirsty, but I don't like the letter Y when it's pretending not to be a vowel. If I can change it, then I will.

2. When I was growing up, I used to pretend that pink and purple were my favourite colours, because I thought I had to like those colours, but as I got older I said "screw it, I actually really love red!" This is the story of how I got a red bedroom.

3. I could read before I started School. Words have always fascinated me; they're like a secret code that lets you unlock a whole other world. My teachers hated it when it came to reading lessons, because they would have to get work from teachers two/three years above in order to find something that would challenge me. Library lessons were the worst, they would constantly tell me that I wouldn't be able to read the books in the year six section because they weren't for my age group - proved them wrong more times than I can remember. (Bear in mind I was in year two at this time.)

4. I don't like tea. It just tastes weird.

5. I am scared to eat prawns. They just look really creepy. Plus, I am scared that I maybe allergic to them.

6. I have been published. A chapter of a novel I started writing for my Independent Creative Writing module, during my second year at uni has been published in an anthology of students work. Kingston RiPPLE 2015, if ya'll are interested.

7. I can't bare the thought of poolside holidays! I have a constant need to explore and learn. I want to travel the world, live in a different city, move to a different country, become part of a different culture, and just learn about the world in which we live. I hate change, and committing to a new place for a set amount of time scares the bejesus out of me, but as Hillary Duff once said "Never let the fear of striking out, keep you from playing the game."

Well thats it, thats my seven facts.

As per the rules, I now have to nominate fifteen other blogs/blogs that I have recently discovered or follow regularly.
